Signs of the end of the age!

Lev. 23—Now, the reason this is important because other Scriptures referring to the harvest that Israel would plant and harvest themselves have been used to push the Wave Sheaf Offering even as far as the next year. Now, if that were the case, they wouldn't have been able to eat any grain for a whole year. So, that can't be right. We have this specific command and this is specific to the time that they came in to the inheritance in the 'promised land'!

Leviticus 23:9: "And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, 'Speak to the children of Israel and say to them, "When you have come into the land, which I give to you…"'" (vs 9-10).

Now, when God gave them that land, it was theirs. they took it, because God conquered the Canaanites and all of the other ones who were there.

"…'When you have come into the land, which I give to you, and shall reap the harvest of it…" (v 10).

That's important because there was a harvest as we will see planted and they were able to take and have a Wave Sheaf Offering. We will see that it had to be that way.

"…and shall reap the harvest of it…" (v 10).

It calls it your harvest in the last part here, so we'll read that.

"…then you shall bring the premier sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest to the priest" (v10).

I explained this last time, but let me just clarify it. When they conquered the land, they owned everything that was there. So, they owned the crop as their own, even though it was planted in the fall by the Canaanites or the Amorites. They owned it! So, it was their harvest. They didn't have to go out and plant a new crop and then wait a year before the Wave Sheaf Offering.

Verse 11: "And he shall wave the sheaf before the LORD to be accepted for you. On the next day after the Sabbath the priest shall wave it."

Verse 14: "And you shall eat neither bread, nor parched grain, nor green ears until the same day, until you have brought an offering to your God. It shall be a statute forever throughout your generations in all your dwellings. And you shall count to you beginning with the next day after the Sabbath, beginning with the day that you brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven Sabbaths shall be complete. Even unto the day after the seventh Sabbath you shall number fifty days" (vs 14-16). Now we will see that in just a bit!

Joshua 5:2: "At that time the LORD said to Joshua, 'Make sharp knives for yourselves and circumcise the children of Israel again, the second time.'"

We know this was in the first month, because on the tenth day of the first month. This is a very important thing to understand because we were not told prior to this time when the children of Israel sacrificed the circumcision of all the males, because God did not deal with them until they had been circumcised. So, we're not told when in Egypt that they did this but they did it before they left Egypt.

Verse 6: "For the children of Israel walked forty years in the wilderness until all the people, the men of war who came out of Egypt, were destroyed because they did not obey the voice of the LORD…."

I want you to keep that in remembrance, because next Sabbath we're going to cover how very important that that is.

"…To them the LORD swore that He would not show them the land, which the LORD swore to their fathers that He would give us, a land that flows with milk and honey" (v 6).

Verse 7: "And Joshua circumcised their sons…"

Verse 9: And the LORD said to Joshua, 'Today… [that is on that circumcision day the tenth day of the first month] …I have rolled away the reproach of Egypt from you.'….".

That was after all of the men who had not been circumcised that had been born in the wilderness. Now there were a few who were circumcised that came out of Egypt that did not rebel, so they did not lose their lives. But in order for God to deal with the people they had to have all the males circumcised and healed before they could take over the land!

"…Therefore, the name of the place is called Gilgal to this day. And the children of Israel camped in Gilgal and kept the Passover on the fourteenth day of the month at evening in the plains of Jericho (vs 9-10).

Here's what's important, and I talked this over with Michael Heiss and he suggested that we modify this verse (11) just a little bit because we didn't get it exactly correct when we did the translation the first time:

Verse 11 says and they ate of the old grain of the land… [now that should be]: "they ate of the new grain of the land on the next day after the Passover… [then it should read]: …on the very self same day they ate unleavened cakes and new grain in that same day."

Now notice, this becomes important so this is the next day after the Passover, so what day is that? That's the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, but also we know that they had to have the Passover like we did this year where the Passover Day was also on the Sabbath Day. Now then, we will see it had to be that way because it couldn't have fallen any other way as it's written here.

Verse 12: "And the manna stopped on the next day after they had eaten the grain of the land…."

Notice it did not say 'of your planted harvest'! It was the grain of the land that they inherited by conquering as God gave it to them!

"…And there was no more manna for the children of Israel…" (v 12).

Stop and think about this for those who say that they had to wait until the next year so that the grain that they had planted that coming fall would in the next spring come up and be ready for the Wave Sheaf Offering. They would not be able to eat any bread at all because the Wave Sheaf Offering would not have been waved.

That's part of the problem! Another part of the problem is that there are those who count from the last day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread and then they take the next day for the Wave Sheaf Offering. BUT that falls outside of the Feast of Unleavened Bread!

  • What does the Wave Sheaf Offering picture?
  • What is the fulfillment of the Wave Sheaf Offering on the first day of the week? That is the ascension of Jesus as resurrected from the dead!
  • What was His sacrifice for? For the sins of the whole world; individually applied as each one of us repent and accept Jesus as our Savior the way that God wants it to be. So both of those things are incorrect.

I received a calendar supposedly a sacred calendar for 2025, and they had June 8th as the Day of Pentecost; because in their calculation they calculated that the Wave Sheaf Offering fell after the 7th day—which was also a weekly Sabbath—of the Feast of Unleavened Bead.

So. whenever the Passover falls on the weekly Sabbath the next day after that weekly Sabbath, which was also the Passover is the 1st day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread and that is the day that the Wave Sheaf Offering is to be waved in that particular year. Now when the Passover falls in the middle of the week it doesn't work that way because the Wave Sheaf Offering is to be waved on the first day of the week.

The day after the Sabbath the only first day of the week that that can be waved on is the day after the Passover Day. That day in this sequence is also the first day of the week, and it is the first annual Sabbath, the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread. That had to be because of what it says here:

Verse 12: "And the manna stopped on the next day after they had eaten the grain of the land…."

We have to read ALL of the Scriptures and put them together! There are some Scriptures in Exodus that talks about that 'of your harvest you shall bring the firstfruits to God.' That's how they get it all mixed up and say 'they couldn't do that until the next year because they had to plant to harvest.' NO!

Lev. 23 makes it clear: When you come into the land and harvest it! The grain had already grown, it was ripe and ready to go, and the sequence has to follow that way. I am going to show you some charts which clarify this {shown on the video of this message} and I have highlighted them in yellow and this will correct what I have done.

You will see that Friday evening as the 13th ended—that's why I have the triangular yellow highlight to show, it's in the evening—they ate the Passover then the Passover Day was the weekly Sabbath.

Then you come to the first day of the week, and that when the Wave Sheaf Offering was waved. Then you start counting, so what do we have? In the month of Nisan we have two weeks; I have them numbered nice and bright in black

Now let's count forward as it says, 'seven sabbaths shall be complete,' so here's the chart showing 3, 4. 5, 6 and 7. Isn't it interesting that in May there are five sabbaths in the Holy Calendar, There we go, now the seventh Sabbath is May 31st, which is 49 days. Then Pentecost we're told is day 50, which falls on the first day of the week—June 1st

I hope these charts are clear for you to follow. This is important that we have it this way so that what we do is in accord with what actually is what God wants us to have. This becomes a real important thing for us as we are going forward in all that we do. That is:

  • we need to follow the Truth
  • we need to rightly divide the Word of God

Especially when we come to a lot of these prophecies, which we will talk about, because there are a lot of things going on right now that are earth shaking; that are going to lead to perhaps the final fulfillment of many of the prophecies leading up to the return of Christ!

*****

End-Times Unfolding Now

Let's come to the main New Testament chapter, which covers all the key points necessary in understanding the prophecies.

The prophecies have to fit in the right places at the right time. Many times down through history, there have been mix-ups on proclamations that Christ's return is going to be in whatever time. Now, just in our lifetime, we've seen at least eight or ten proclamations that Christ is going to return. The latest one was in 2027.

Well, that's not going to happen because all of the prophecies leading up to His return would have to have been happening right now. Let's come to Matt. 24, and here is a key: Everything starts with what Jesus said right here to His disciples, and it ends up in His return in the same chapter.

Now, let's read the first part of it because this tells us of the great disappointment of the Church in the 1st century.

Matthew 24:1: "And after going out, Jesus departed from the temple; and His disciples came to Him to point out the buildings of the temple. But Jesus said to them, 'Do you not see… [I want you to keep that word in mind. Because we are to see these prophecies happening] …all these things? Truly I say to you, there shall not be left here even a stone upon a stone that shall not be thrown down'" (vs 1-2).

Now then, that's quite a statement. Here they're looking at the temple, and we've got this nice big picture of the temple up here. By the way, we were given this picture by Dr. Sealoff so we could reproduce it. Of the big picture that we have here, we sent him back three for himself and others that he knew Just a little clarification, because when you're sitting here in our hall, you see the big first century temple that was destroyed.

After that, Jesus was out on the Mount of Olives. As you look at the picture, that's the kind of view that you would have from the Mount of Olives, looking down on the temple area.

Verse 3: "And as He was sitting on the Mount of Olives, His disciples came to Him alone, saying, 'Tell us, when shall these things be? And what shall be the sign of Your coming, and of the completion of the age?'"

He didn't tell them it's going to be 2,000 years. Even after His resurrection, what did the disciples say? Are you going to restore the Kingdom to Israel at this time? He says:

It's not for you to know the things that are under the Father's authority. But you go to Jerusalem, wait until you're imbued from power from on high.

Here's the first thing, and this goes on and on and on. That ties together with over here in v 24 about false prophets.

Verse 4: "Then Jesus answered and said to them, 'Be on guard, so that no one deceives you. For many shall come in My name, saying, "I am the Christ"; and [#1]they shall deceive many'" (vs 4-5).

And we see that today as never before. We have those things which are on radio, on television, on the Internet, and on the Internet there's channel after channel after channel after channel. How many are proclaiming that Christ is going to come anytime?

No, He's going to come at His time! He's going to come when the other prophecies leading up to it will be fulfilled.

  • Verse 6: And you shall hear of wars and rumors of wars…."
  • Verse 7: For nation shall rise against nation…"
  • Verse 8: "Now, all these things are the beginning of sorrows."
  • Verse 9: Then shall they deliver you up to affliction…"

And isn't that what has happened down through history? Down through time? Yes, indeed! Right now, we see the situation historically. We're very thankful for John Gunether who was looking into the Waldensians and all that area in the Alps where the true Church of God was for 1200 years.

Verse 10: "And then shall many be led into sin, and shall betray one another and shall hate one another."

That has gone on, but it's magnified today. Look at all of the hatred that we have everywhere.

Verse 11: "And many false prophets shall arise, [#2]and shall deceive many."

Verse 24: "For there shall arise false Christs and false prophets, and they shall present great signs and wonders, [#3]in order to deceive, if possible, even the elect." And that's us!

Verse 12: "And because lawlessness shall be multiplied, the love of many shall grow cold…. [then here's a warning]: …But the one who endures to the end, that one shall be saved" (vs 12-13). There are two ends that come:

  • the end of your life if you're faithful
  • the end of the age when Christ returns

Now we have something that was not really able to be done in the way that it is today until all the things that we have with the technology and with the Internet and with the DVDs, with smart-phones and everything like that. The Bible is more available to more people in the world than at any time in the history of the world! And in a language they can understand, because it's been translated into 3,000 languages. God has caused all of that to be! But why are there not more converts? Because few repent! Here's what needs to happen:

Verse 14: "And this Gospel of the Kingdom shall be proclaimed in all the world for a witness to all nations..."—every nation on earth is going to hear at the same time. Now, in this age, is when it is happening.

  • How long will it be?
  • How thorough will it be?

We don't know! But even us, as a small Church, have Canada, Europe, Kenya, Algeria, South Africa, India, Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, the Philippines, Central and South America, and all of America. We have people that we are preaching to, and the other Churches of God are doing it, also. We hope and pray that the other Churches of God will also come to God and Christ the way that they need to, so that they can preach the Gospel as a witness to the world. That is our responsibility to do it, and our responsibility is to feed the flock:

  • to teach them the right way
  • to know and understand the Truth

    • we are not here for ourselves as ministers
    • we are not here to earn money for us so we can retire on the brethren and live a life

Or like all of those that are on the fake religious channels that we have today, that is pagan Christianity #1! None of them know what the Truth is. Why? Because they reject the Commandments of God.

  • they lie about faith
  • they lie about grace
  • they lie about what God wants them to do

I saw a montage of about four of the leading evangelists that are on the television.

By the way, we or any of the Churches of God, could not get on that channel unless they 'approved of what we preached ahead of time of our preaching.'

Now, Thursday night, I was on Caravan to Midnight. And I was very blunt and direct about the Roman Catholic Church. We'll have a little more to say about that because this is a major prophecy that's going to develop, and it's happening right now as we are listening and speaking. We'll get to that in a bit.

"…to all nations, and then shall the end come" (v 14).

Then He gives one particular event that we're to watch for. When this event takes place, that is the start of the Great Tribulation!

Verse 15: "'Therefore, when you see the abomination of desolation, which was spoken of by Daniel the Prophet, standing in the Holy Place.'…."

Where is the Holy Place? Inside the temple! So, if it's going to stand in the Holy Place, that means there has to be a temple built!

Today, the Jews are closer to building that temple. They have all the accoutrements necessary to run the whole operation of the temple and the priesthood. but they don't have the temple. We will see a temple built. We'll look at it in just a bit.

It says, "…when you see…" we will be able to see it and the whole world will be able to see it! Just like today. Today is the burial of the pope and the whole world is watching it on television or on their smart-phone. Everybody knows!

  • A hundred years ago, could that happen? No!
  • Fifty years ago, could it happen? Partially!

But today, it's a common thing! You can communicate with anybody, anywhere, by simply dialing their number. To add on top of that, what do we have to magnify it? AI! We'll talk about that a little bit later.

So, then he says, here's a parenthetical statement: "…(The one who reads, let him understand.)" (v 15).

John added this because he did not understand what it meant. We'll look and see what John had to look at as he canonized the New Testament in just a minute.

Verse 16: "Then let those who are in Judea flee into the mountains."

Now, that's an urgent time when that happens! So, in the first centuryA.D., there was no abomination of desolation that came into the temple before it was destroyed! That was the great disappointment for the first century Church.

After that happened in 70A.D., the waves of false teachers swept into the Churches of God. and they almost completely controlled it, except God said that He would take a small number of people and move the Church into what we know as the Swiss Alps today, for 1260 years!

Let's see why John wrote this. We will look at two things in Rev. 11, which are going to take place. This is how we know that there needs to be a temple rebuilt, and it has to be in the right location.

The Jews are working feverishly to try and get that taken care of. The biggest problem that they have had is that they need to get rid of Hamas. So, the destruction of Hamas is a prelude to the building of the temple!

This is why, because John wrote the book of Revelation, and he was leading in the canonization of the New Testament. He wrote what he saw. How many times did God tell him to write, write, write, because God wants it written down, because you can never depend on word-of-mouth tradition, because someone is going to change it and add to it or take away from it!

Revelation 11:1: "Then the angel gave me a measuring rod like a staff, saying, 'Arise and measure the Temple of God…'"

Well, in 70A.D., it was destroyed. Not one stone left upon another! So, when John was canonizing the New Testament, and he came there to:

Matthew 24:15: "'Therefore, when you see the abomination of desolation, which was spoken of by Daniel the Prophet, standing in the Holy Place.' (The one who reads, let him understand.)"

That phrase was put there by John. Jesus did not say that! This tells us at the end-time, there must be a temple.

How do we know this is the end-time? Well, after the two witnesses get done with their witness—it will be for 1260 days—they will die! Their bodies will be in the street of Jerusalem, three and a half days—won't be buried—then the seventh trump is going to sound right as they are raised from the dead! We'll read that here.

Speaking of the two witnesses; Revelation 11:7: "And when they have completed their testimony…"—which is authority over all plagues at any time, anywhere on the earth!

All they had to do was call them down. Now, isn't it interesting? You go clear back to the book of Exodus, and what do we have? Moses and Aaron! Now, we're going to have two:

  • What was Moses? He was the whole leader of all the twelve tribes of Israel!
  • What was Aaron? He was the high priest!

Now, we come to Zech. 3 and we have a prophecy of the high priest, and Zech. 4. we have a prophecy of the governor of Judea, who are the end-time governor and priest! So, the two witnesses will be those whom God chooses!

Now there's one idiot who claims to be a minister of God—Ron Weinland—who claims that he and his wife are the two witnesses. But there's one difficulty: they have well past the time of their ministry, and they didn't die in the streets of Jerusalem. That was a false thing, and brethren, there are some people who still believe them and follow them. And he spent three years in jail. Huh! That's longer than the ministry of the two witnesses! What did he spend the time in jail for? For setting up an account in Switzerland to take the tithes and offerings and put it in there to enrich himself! And blind, ignorant brethren, come along and follow them to this day!

Verse 7: "And when they have completed their testimony, the beast who ascends out of the abyss will make war against them, and will overcome them, and will kill them. And their bodies will lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt…" (vs 7-8). Is that not what we have today everywhere?

"…where also our Lord was crucified" (v 8). That's Jerusalem! Jesus wasn't crucified in Cairo, was He? No!

Verse 9: "Then those of the peoples and tribes and languages and nations shall see their bodies three and a half days…" That can only be done with the communications that we have today:

  • everyone has their smart-phone
  • they're going to see their bodies there
  • they're all going to rejoice
  • they're going to send presents to each other

'Oh, hooray, we finally got rid of them.' They don't know that the end is about ready to explode upon them. Because, here's what happens:

Verse 10: "And those who dwell on the earth will rejoice over them, and will make merry, and will send gifts to one another, because these two prophets had tormented those who dwell on the earth.' Then after the three and a half days, the spirit of life from God entered into them and they stood on their feet…" (vs 10-11).

Now here's an interesting thing: The last two martyred are the first two resurrected!

"…and great fear fell upon those who were watching them. And they heard a great voice from heaven, say, 'Come up here!' And they ascended into heaven in a cloud; and their enemies saw them rise. And in that hour there was a great earthquake, and a tenth of the city fell; and seven thousand men were killed in the earthquake. And the rest were filled with fear, and gave glory to the God of heaven. The second woe is past. Behold, the third woe is coming immediately. Then the seventh angel sounded his trumpet…" (vs 11-15).

  • that's the seventh trumpet
  • that's the last trumpet
  • that's the first resurrection

So, this shows right here, there has to be another temple built. We'll see this in another way in just a little bit.

Verse 15: "Then the seventh angel sounded his trumpet; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, 'The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and His Christ, and He shall reign into the ages of eternity.'"

That's when Jesus takes over authority over all the earth, right there when the two witnesses are raised. Then what happens? The resurrection of all of the faithful that died in the faith will be raised! Then all of those who are still alive but are converted will be changed, and they will rise! As we will see as we get closer to Pentecost, what's going to happen with that; we'll explain that in great detail.

Verse 16: "And the twenty-four elders, who sit before God on their thrones, fell on their faces and worshiped God, 'We give You thanks, O Lord God Almighty, Who is, and Who was, and Who is to come; for You have taken to Yourself Your great power, and have reigned'" (vs 16-17). So, at this point, Christ is in control of everything!

Verse 18: "For the nations were angry, and Your wrath has come, and the time for the dead to be judged…" Now, the wrath hasn't come, yet! We'll see that later!

"…and to give reward to Your servants the prophets, and to the saints, and to all those who fear Your name, the small and the great; and to destroy those who destroy the earth" (v 18). There we have it, the resurrection right here!

Now let's go back in time concerning the temple. Let's come to 2-Thess. 2. This is what John was referring to when he said, 'the one who reads, let him understand,' because he was writing it down! God inspired him to put it there!

We know this one. We're going to see this take place because, we'll just interject here: the one that goes in and sits down in the temple—that is coming that is going to be built—will be the Beast Power—and we'll look at that prophecy in Revelation in a minute—who will enter into the temple and say that he is 'God.' That is the abomination that makes desolate! That happens, as we will see, by the context 2-Thess. 2 when Christ returns.

That's why when the temple was destroyed in 70A.D., everybody was disappointed. Well, God have a greater plan over a longer term than anyone has ever realized.

2-Thessalonians 2:1: "Now, we beseech you, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him."

That's His coming and the resurrection! Isn't that when we're gathered to Him at the resurrection? Yes!

Verse 2: "That you not be quickly shaken in mind, nor be troubled—neither by spirit… [oh, I got this vision and I saw it'; not true] …nor by word… [because someone preached it] …nor by epistle… [oh, we got an epistle] …as if from us…"

There were false epistles going around signed as if it was Paul. Remember how Paul finished off his epistles? He said, 'See with what large letters that I have signed this and written this.' Amazing! Remember that Paul wrote this in 52A.D. So, they were already coming after him!

"…neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by epistle, as if from us saying that the day of Christ is present. Do not let anyone deceive you by any means" (vs 2-3).

We saw in Matt. 24 how easy it is to be deceived!

"…because that day will not come unless the apostasy… [which means the great rebellion against God—and that means the whole world in rebellion against God!] …shall come first, and the man of sin shall be revealed—the son of perdition" (v 3)—the one raised up by Satan himself!

The only other son of perdition was Judas Iscariot, and Satan possessed him to betray Jesus.

"…the son of perdition, the one who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God, or that is an object of worship; so that he comes into the Temple of God…" (vs 3-4).

Again, there must be a temple, this that we are reading is the abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel the prophet standing in the Holy Place to desecrate it! To show to the Jews that in a physical temple God is not going to be there! The temple that they will build will be a testimony to their self-righteousness, that they are not the chosen people that they think they are and that they do not have a corner on the market for God!

So, after building the temple and all that's going to happen and people are going to be all excited, this is what's going to happen right here in 2-Thess. 2:

"…and sits down as God, proclaiming that he himself is God" (v 4).

Tie in Dan. 11:40 thru Dan. 12—that's the King of the North coming against the King of the South. Sounds familiar with what we're dealing with today in the Middle East and Europe. This had been going on and back and forth and on and back and forth for centuries.

Verse 5: "Do you not remember that when I was still with you, I told you these things? And now you understand what is holding him back… [in other words what is holding the flow of Scripture? Christ!] …in order for him to be revealed in his own set time" (vs 5-6).

That means after the temple is built! So, we can take this as an absolute fact:

  • When we see the Jews lay the corner stone of the temple we know that the time is short!

  • How long will it take them to build the temple? We don't know!
  • How long will it be in operation? Probably about three years!
  • The man of sin, the son of perdition, moves in to shut it down!

  • Why? Because that's in competition with Rome!

We'll talk about that a little bit later, but the death of this pope (Francis) and the election of a new and a coming pope, let's wait and see who it is. As a matter of fact Pope Francis was buried today; that is a momentous event leading to a very important phase of prophecy concerning the religion of Babylon the Great centered in Rome.

Speaking of the of the pope, I was watching how they took the pictures of the thousands and thousands traipsing in and walking to see the body of the pope. Billions saw it over television; I saw it, you saw it! In the St. Peter's Basilica, a great mammoth building with beautiful colors and gold and everything and carvings of all kind clear up to the highest part of the ceiling.

Right behind where the pope was, was the great canopy for the worship center of the Catholics and there are four columns, serpentine design, which goes up to the top.

  • What is on the top of that? A big sun-burst!
  • Why do they have that? Because that is sun-worship and that is Baal-worship, and the pope is the successor of Baal!

They say this one may be the last pope. Well, we don't know; we'll get into that next week.

Let's finish here about the man of sin the son of perdition, which will be the Beast Power! What do we also see today happening in Europe? Europe is being forced to come together! The Beast Power is going to come out of Europe. Isn't it interesting that the one man who is making all of this take place is the one man who was elected President—that God spared by having an angel move his head so the bullet wouldn't blow his brains out—Donald Trump!

Think about this for a minute: the replica of the Ark of the Covenant that the Jews have already made and they took it on tour. They took it to New York City and before it went back to Jerusalem, they took it to Mar-a-Lago for a personal viewing by Trump!

Think on this what is Trump's occupation besides being President? He's a builder! Now you just think on that for a minute! Like I said, there are prophecies developing all around us, but here's the main one here. Let's see:

  • why it happens
  • what happens to him
  • what happens to those who follow him

Because just like the thousands and thousands and thousands that went in to view the body of the pope, what religious value is that, and they could barely see him because his face is so distorted

Paul said, v 5: "Do you not remember that when I was still with you, I told you these things? And now you understand what is holding him back in order for him to be revealed in his own set time. For the mystery of lawlessness is already working…" (vs 5-7). It started back there and has been continuing all this time!

Note our series: Was Peter Ever in Rome? {https://www.cbcg.org/peter-rome/was-peter-ever-in-rome.html}

Peter never went to Rome like I advertised on Caravan to Midnight. You need to get it it's on Church at Home (churchathome.org) there are nine half hour segments that show precisely conclusively from Scripture and from history that Peter never went to Rome nor was his body buried under what is now called the Vatican or St. Peter's Basilica, which by the way used to be a pagan cemetery.

Two Catholic priests found his tomb. Where do you suppose that was? It was on the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem! In his second epistle, Peter warned those not to get all mixed up in the rebellion against the Romans.

So, Peter went back to try and help keep them from going into the rebellion against the Romans and that's where he was killed and that's where he was buried. His tomb they found on the Mount of Olives, the same mount that he was viewing the temple when Jesus told them that every stone is going to be taken down not one left upon another.

Verse 8: "And then the lawless one will be revealed (whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth, and will destroy with the brightness of His coming)"—that's his second return to the earth!

Where do we see that fulfilled and also with the false prophet? Rev. 19 an angel takes the beast and the false prophet and throws them into the Lake of Fire!

Verse 9: "Even the one whose coming is according to the inner working of Satan…"

That's the Beast Power; "…the inner working of Satan…" Now when Satan comes in all of his power and all of his all of his miracles that he can do, everyone is going to think that this is a wonderful thing it's going to be a great thing with the new leader of the world.

The new pope and everyone is all together and everyone is happy and all of that sort of thing for a while there will be that excitement and everything going on.

Verse 9: "Even the one whose coming is according to the inner working of Satan, with all power and signs and lying wonders."

Jesus said there will arise false Christ and false prophets and they will show great signs and wonders! What is the beast? It's not the beast, but the false prophet! What does he do? He calls fire down from heaven (Rev. 13).

When someone calls down fire from heaven and you see it on your smart-phone and everybody says:

Oh look at this; this is a wonderful thing! Look at this man, he performs miracles! Look at this leader he has the whole world in line!

The stage is being set!

Verse 10: "And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in those who are perishing, because they did not receive the love of the Truth so that they might be saved." That's a warning for us:

  • Do we love the Truth?
  • Do we believe the Truth?
  • Do we live by the Truth?
  • Do we study the Truth?
  • Do we try and have our lives run that way?
  • Do we have our minds work that way?
  • What is it that we do?

That's all part of conversion!

They didn't have any love of the Truth! Notice what happens if you do not have the love of the Truth that you can be saved:

Verse 11: "And for this cause God will send upon them a powerful deception…" Do you want to be deceived?

I'll send a powerful deception upon you and you will see exactly what the Truth is in My judgment against you!

"…a powerful deception that will cause them to believe the lie" (v 11).

What was the lie? This man is 'God' this other man is the 'prophet of God'!

Verse 12: "So that all may be judged who did not believe the Truth, but who took pleasure in unrighteousness."

There we have it, brethren! That is the major thing! When we see the foundation of the temple laid we're going to know at that time—if we're still alive—that the time is very short, because the time will be whatever time it takes to build it and to dedicate it one set of time. The second set time is when they start the sacrifices! (Dan.12).

They will have their sacrifices, and remember that the building and destruction of that temple, God is going to show the Jews their self-righteousness, and all of their claims that they are the only chosen people on earth! This is now completely repudiated by My [God's] destruction of the temple that they have built!

Daniel 12:8: "And I [Daniel] heard, but I did not understand. Then I said, 'O my lord, what shall be the end of these things?' And he said, 'Go your way, Daniel, for the words are closed up and sealed until the time of the end'" (vs 8-9).

Isn't that amazing! we can understand these things today which tells you what we're in the time of the end. How long that will be, we don't know!

Verse 10: "Many shall be purified, and made white and refined. But the wicked shall do wickedly; and none of the wicked shall understand, but the wise shall understand." Down through history; down through history of the Church!

You can find this on Friends of the Sabbath with Craig White. there were many times that different ones in the Churches of God thought that Christ was going to return in their time. We thought it in our time! Do many remember the booklet: 1975 in Prophecy? That didn't happen and then we had 1988, 89, 97, 99, 2004, 2010 and now 2027 and all of that!

Verse 11: "And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that causes desolation is set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days."

So this tells us that the 1290 days will overlap with the 1260 days with the two witnesses. But that's when it's going to be cut off!

Verse 12: "Blessed is he who waits and comes to the thousand three hundred and thirty-five days." That's the resurrection!

Verse 13: "But you, go your way till the end be, for you shall rest and stand in your lot at the end of the days."

That's just part of the prophecies that are going to take place We'll try and cover some more of those a little bit later on. We'll look at a little further concerning the pope. concerning the Babylonian mysteries. and we will study a little bit more concerning the Beast Power and the things in the book of Revelation. We will study about the seven Churches as they are described in Rev. 2 and 3
